It is clear that all of us in the restaurant business must pull together. Just a plain old darts board and karaoke option isn't enough to attract new customers to spend a night out,
Sure a great venue with excellent customer service is a great starting point, but if that is all you have to offer there is a lot being missed out on,
New and existing customer bases must both be served. For years the range of events on offer has remained stagnant. On top of that, thanks to the newly passed alcohol law, bars can stay open even later then before. Live-music can't fill those long nights and bar activities such as bingo and karaoke just aren't enough of a differentiating force. We should all be constantly innovating since neither of us has enough leeway to lose customers. Still I'm confident there are new ways opening up right in front of us.
